20 days of blogging – Day 1

So I’ve started this, probably 3 times now? And for whatever reason I never actually get around to posting anything. Zeirah has been doing this (which is where I stole borrowed the idea) and I thought it would be good way to write more. Here’s the topics for the 20 days:

Day 1 – Introduce yourself

Hello! In WoW I’m know as Cinder. I live in Melbourne, Australia, with my boyfriend, Thor (not his real name 😉 ) I work in a job that I can’t explain (not because it’s a secret, but because it’s difficult to explain without explaining the higher education system in Australia), that is government funded. With Tony Abbott now in power and departments around us being frozen, my job feels a bit up in the air (though I’ve been told we’ll be *just fine*). Won’t really know the outcome of everything until around April/May. I do computery/website/marketing/comms/policy type stuff. It’s a miss-mash of a role that makes me feel like I’m butting in to everyone’s business all the time.

In my spare time I play WoW or read or sleep. I’ve started a paint-by-numbers painting which is very enjoyable, but I’m pretty terrible at it. It’s a nice change to a computer screen, though. I’ve been listening to the Game of Thrones audio book lately, so I just have that going at the same time. Makes for a nice afternoon.

At uni I studied writing, and have been “working on” a novel since around that time. I started a second blog, How Now Brown Owl in an attempt to inspire myself to write more. Sometimes it works, sometimes I just get overwhelmed a bit. Slow and steady. 🙂

That’s about it really. Not too sure what else to say, so I’ll leave this here. 🙂

Thanks for visiting!
