Tumblr crashed and lost my almost finished entry 😦 So I have to do this again and I’m a bit too tired for it, so it’s the shortened version.
My favourite things in the game are the mounts. I’ve realised I’m a bit of a hoarder when it comes to mounts – though not nearly as bad as others. These two are my favourites:
I love this mount, because I had to earn it. She dropped from heroic Deathwing back when he was current. I was lucky enough to be one of the people who ended up getting her. I think she’s beautiful. (as are The Blazing Drake and The Twilight Harbinger). I like mounts that you have to earn. Which is why when I finally finish What a Long, Strange Trip It’s Been, and I get the Reins of the Violet Proto-Drake, I’m sure that will be my favourite for a long time.
I know some people don’t like the cloud serpent mounts, and I do agree that at times I get a bit of motion sickness due to the way they fly, but I still like them. Getting this mount was a lovely surprise. It’s a rare drop from an Elite on the Thundering Isle – 1% drop rate apparently. I had made it just in time to get about 2 hits on Houlon before he died. As I was clicking to get the loot, Thor yells “mount! mount!” and there it was – the mount. (If only that trick would work with winning the lotto!)
I just love the lightning on this guy. I think it looks awesome.
