This last week I was flattered to be nominated not once, but twice for a Liebster Award! Thank you to Zeirah and Calidyn! I’m going to do this in 2 posts, too, so I don’t take up too much space. Here is part 1!
So! What is a Liebster award, you may be asking? I asked myself the same thing, because, even though I’ve been blogging online in some form or another for almost 20 years (holy crap that’s a long time!), I’m not great with the whole blogging “culture”. I’ve always been on the outside looking in. So off I went to investigate, and taking a page out of Calidyn’s book, I’m stealing a quote:
“Well, it is only an AWESOME award given to up and coming bloggers. Given by other up and coming bloggers. It’s a cool way to find other blogs and feel like you are getting into the blogging stratosphere. It is simple, you get nominated by someone else, mention their page and a link to their blog in your Liebster Award Post, answer the 11 questions they give you, then tag 11 other nominees and give them a new set of 11 questions to answer.”
It’s just a nice way to share some blogging love. (This blog has a great run down of how this has changed over the years)
Part 2 has questions from Calidyn.
1. What made you start playing WoW?
I’ve written about this in this entry. The TL:DR version is that my boyfriend made me do it 😉
2. What made you start blogging?
3. Is there any blog post you’re particularly proud of?
Hmmm this is a good question. I think probably this one, in which I have a tanty about how some women gamers present themselves.
4. Is there any piece of advice you wish someone had given you before you started blogging?
Not really. I know what I need to work on with regards to my writing. My biggest issue is being a lazy so-and-so. 🙂
5. Name one character from MoP you’d like to see in a future expansion.
oh good question. I always had a soft spot for Aysa Cloudsinger and Ji Firepaw. I like to think that Aysa saved him and that he’s recovered. I’d love to see them come back to the game and fight together… but then I would probably rather see them live happily ever after together.
6. Is there a class or spec that you’ve never played that you’d really like to try one day?
I’ve had a few goes at playing a druid and have been pretty crap. I had started levelling a druid again before I switched servers. I started her again on Barth, and then used my 90 boost to boost a different druid to 90 (original Horde druid I made was troll… and I just didn’t like her. Made a tauren instead). When I boosted her, I basically got her to learn both gathering professions, levelled them to max and she hasn’t done anything since. I would like to have a crack at druid healing, but need to read up on how to actually do it… I’m thinking I’ll have a go at this over the Easter break.
7. Dungeons or scenarios? Why?
Dungeons all the way. I passionately hate scenarios. I never know what on earth I’m doing, no-one talks to each other and I never know where I’m going. Hate them! At least with dungeons there’s a structure.
8. What are you looking forward to the most in WoD?
New levelling and stories! New stuff! Really nervous about the healing changes… am keeping a close eye on them.
9. If you could have any WoW ability in real life, what would that be?
I think being a healer in real life would be pretty amazing. Though I reckon spinning crane kick would be spectacular! 😉
10. If they were a playable race, would you play a murloc? What class?
Hehe! That would be really fun. I think they’d need to be a caster – can’t really imagine them being melee range kicking around. Although, how funny would a DK murloc look! Actually that’s a pretty terrifying image in my head.
11. Tea or coffee?
Tea, though as I mentioned in part 1, I only really like English Breakfast/Melbourne Breakfast. I do like coffee, but I’m also very fussy about how I have it. Well, I’m fussy about my tea, too. I much prefer to make my own beverages… I’m far too fussy.
So that’s part 2 done! I’m supposed to nominate 11 other blogs for this, but I don’t know any who haven’t already done this. So I thought I’d link to a bunch of new blogs I found by doing this whole thing. Go give them a visit and say hey! 🙂
