I repeat! This is NOT A DRILL!

This time next week we will know what the next World of Warcraft expansion will be. I for one am VERY excited about this! Not too thrilled about the time that it’s happening, but that’s because it’s being announced on the other side of the world – so totally understandable. 

So… what are we in for? Who knows! People have been speculating about what’s in store for us next, the most popular theory being a South Seas expansion called The Dark Prophet that was “leaked” on 4chan/reddit earlier this month. Personally I’m not a huge fan of this expansion suggestion, but that’s a post for another day (if it ends up being true).

I think the only thing this next expansion definitely has to be is not an orc expansion, and not Horde focused. So many people (myself included!) have had enough of Orcs for awhile. I want an expansion that makes sense for Alliance to be involved in. As a Horde character I find it so odd that the Alliance have been involved in the whole fight against Garrosh and then following the Horde to Draenor. I could understand them fighting Garrosh initially because of Theramore, but to still come along to Draenor… surely they would have thought “you know what, he’s not here anymore – not our problem”.

Either way, there needs to be an expansion that is interesting for the Alliance to be involved in, and that isn’t full of orcs. I’m not bothered about a new class. A new race might be nice, but as long as it’s something that makes sense story-wise and isn’t thrown in for the sake of having a new race.
