Feel Good Friday – quest complete!

Feel Good Friday! is a weekly exercise to help bring some positivity in to the gaming community by sharing stories to make people smile. They may be heartwarming or funny stories, tales of your epic kills or something that you’ve found in game – anything that gives you some good vibes.

Quest complete!

I’ve spoken before about how one of my favourite things about playing World of Warcraft is the sound that is played when you hand in and complete a quest. It’s the sound of accomplishment, of reward, of satisfaction. It’s the sound that says “you did a GOOD thing!”. It’s the sound that got me addicted to the game. I remember hearing it for the first time when I started playing, and even then it gave me tummy tingles. It’s one of the reasons I love questing so much – I get to hear that lovely sound all the time, and get constant validation! It’s a sound that just makes me happy, especially if I’ve had a rubbish day at work and have felt like I’ve not accomplished anything. I can log in to the game, grab a quest and complete it and get my fix of satisfaction and positivity!

So you can imagine my delight when Thor discovered an audio snippet of the quest complete sound. If you want a fix, press play below!

He joked that I should have that as my ringtone on my iPhone. Which is clearly not at a joke at all, and something I immediately did. I made it the sound my phone makes when I get a text message, and oh is it glorious!

I don’t think I’m allowed to share the tone file itself, but there is really nothing stopping anyone from:

… if you catch my drift 😉

It is immensely satisfying, and brings a huge smile to my face. Because yes, I am just that big of a WoW nerd 😀

If you have a story you’d like to share that made you feel good, share it below in the comments! Or drop me an email at [cinder (at) cindersays (dot) net] and I’ll feature it in a future Feel Good Friday post. It doesn’t have to be a World of Warcraft story – it can be from any game at all. And it doesn’t have to be long – it can be a short message if you like. Just something that brings some positivity back to the gaming community.
