Well, ask and you shall receive. Just the other day I did a post about my work and how we were waiting to hear if we would still have jobs at the end of the year. Well, we just got confirmation that we are one step closer and are shortlisted.
There’s still a few steps to go, but it’s nice to know that we have made it past the first hurdle.
So next week we have a meeting with the responsible government department in Canberra next week. It’s going to be the most important meeting I’ll have done since becoming an executive, so it’s both exciting and terrifying! On the plus side I’m not doing the travelling and am attending with my fellow execs online, but it’s still going to be scary!
The good news is that there is another big role for me in the new version of the organisation, which is amazing (and also, again, terrifying) but I know I can do it. I’m excited about it, but I’m still bogged down in stuff at the moment that I should be done with so it’s making it hard to celebrate. But hopefully after this weekend I’ll be sorted and I can start doing what I love most – planning and organising and figuring out processes and stuff. Which sounds lame, I know, but I make everything pretty colours so it at least looks a bit interesting! 🙂
