Blaugust 2022 – 18 – 2 truths and a lie

We played this game at work a few years back and it was really fun, though some people knew each other too well so it was easy. But I thought this could be a fun game to play with the comments!

Basically, each person makes 3 statements – 2 of them should be true, and one should be a lie, and everyone just needs to guess what the lie is. I’ll post mine here – you post yours in the comments and everyone can reply with their guesses. (If you want!)

I learned to sail on the Red Sea
I learned to scuba dive on the Great Barrier Reef
I learned to ski on the French Alps

Okay, let’s see… I think your lie is that you did not learn to sail on the Red Sea (just a BIG guess here lol)
My turn:
1. I have traveled with a dead person on a plane
2. I have saved someone from drowning
3. I am allergic to yellow pigments

  ooooh these are good ones! Ok I think the first one is so wild it has to be true… the second I agree with Shup and sounds like an amazing story. So I think it’s 3, that you’re allergic to yellow pigments… because all your tattoos that I’ve seen are in black. That’s my guess! 😀

I agree with Nina, I think you are lying about the Red Sea. The only conventionally touristy place bordering the Red Sea is Egypt, but most people go there for the pyramids and history from my understanding.

Okay my things:
1. The last video game I beat was the original F-Zero
2. The last 5 times I’ve done a board game I’ve gone 4-0-1
3. I beat Wordle in 2 guesses for the first time in the past week

  Hmmm….. yours are tricky!! Ok, I think number 3 is true because you’re a smart cookie so I’m not surprised you’d guess a Wordle in 2. So that leaves 1 and 2… I didn’t know the game F-Zero so I had to look it up and it came out in 1990 and I don’t think you were even born then! BUT it also does seem like something fun and retro that you miiight do… so I’m going to guess that number 2 is the lie!

  I will guess that number 1 is the lie, because since it’s a very old game I guess you could have beaten it long ago and not as the last / recent one. I had to research all 3 of them because I didn’t know any.. I feel ashamed hahahaha good ones Shup!

2. I didn’t eat a hot meal until I was twelve years old.

  oooh tricky! Ok so I’ve not seen a picture of you so have no idea about whether or not you’re completely bald…. though I did read your ‘about you’ post for Blaugust this year and based on some of the dates mentioned in that, maybe it’s possible 1 is true.
  So that leaves 2 and 3…. and I’m going to guess that number 2 is the lie. And if it’s not, I’m very curious as to the story behind that!
